This fiscal year is the second year of "Restart," the second stage after our IPO, and we are pleased to announce our consolidated business results for the 16th fiscal year ending September 30, 2022, which we have revised upward for the second time this year. Consolidated transaction volume was 53.5 billion yen (159% year-on-year), consolidated sales were 13.5 billion yen (77% year-on-year), and operating income (before impairment losses) was 2.55 billion yen and 2.19 billion yen (after impairment losses), at the same level as the forecast after the second upward revision this term.

In the AirTrip Online Travel Business, the rising demand for domestic travel toward the end of the COVID-19 is providing a tailwind, and through the continuation of AirTrip branding measures in various fields and strategic marketing investments to meet the increasing travel demand, the segment is steadily capturing the rising demand for domestic travel and driving the overall business portfolio as a pillar of earnings. The company is driving the entire business portfolio as a pillar of revenue.

Existing business areas other than AirTrip Online Travel Business [IT Off-shore Development Business, Inbound Travel Agency / Wi-Fi Rental Business, Media Business, and Investment Business (AirTrip CVC)are all performing well and steadily, and we have consistently promoted diversification and restructuring of the business portfolio since the previous fiscal year to strategically build the "AirTrip Economic Zone".

In addition, we have newly launched the "Regional Revitalization Business," the sixth business of the AirTrip Group, to solve social issues such as the lack of population in regional areas, aiming to increase the number of people interacting with local communities and revitalize regional economies by developing solutions based on "Tourism Tech" and "HR Tech" and promoting collaboration and partnerships with local governments, various tourist facilities, and local companies. We aim to expand the number of people interacting with the local population and revitalize local economies.

We have announced our mid- to long-term growth strategy "AirTrip 5000", and although we had temporarily suspended it due to the impact of COVID-19, we will restart it from FY23.9 to achieve an early recovery to the pre-COVID-19 consolidated transaction volume of 150 billion yen in FY2025-27. We aim to achieve a consolidated group transaction volume of 150 billion yen and operating income of 5 billion yen, and in the future, a consolidated group transaction volume of 500 billion yen.

As in the previous year, the forecast is conservative and does not factor in upside factors such as growth in domestic travel revenue due to the complete cessation of COVID-19, recovery in overseas travel revenue due to the easing of water border measures around the world, and contributions from the investment business (AirTrip CVC).

Going forward, the AirTrip Group will aim for endless growth by expanding earnings from the AirTrip Online Travel Business through strategic marketing investments in response to increased demand for domestic and overseas travel, continuing growth in a total of five businesses (four existing and new businesses outside AirTrip Online Travel Business), and promoting strategic business portfolio building.
